Privacy policy

Effective date: November 3, 2026

This policy explains what information PipelinePing collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers getpipelineping.com, the PipelinePing dashboard, and the PipelinePing script that our customers install on their own websites.

Who we are

PipelinePing is operated by Alexander Malkan in New York, United States. Questions or requests about privacy go to hello@getpipelineping.com.

What we collect

From people who visit a website that uses PipelinePing:

  • IP address, used to look up the organization the connection belongs to.
  • Pages viewed, page titles, the referring page, the time of the visit, and the browser time zone.
  • A first-party opt-out cookie (pp_optout), only if you choose to opt out.

From that information we may derive company-level details, such as company name, website domain, industry, approximate size, general location, and public company profile links.

From people who join our waitlist or contact us: your email address and anything you choose to write to us.

From customers: account details such as name, work email, company, and billing information. When paid plans launch, card payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor; we will not store full card numbers.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or the contents of communications.

How we use it

  • To show our customers which organizations visited their website and which pages they read.
  • To score how likely a visiting organization is to be a good fit, using page activity and company details.
  • To send alerts our customers set up, for example in Slack or by email.
  • To run, secure, debug, and improve the service, and to prevent abuse.
  • To reply to you, manage the waitlist, and send service messages.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Who we share it with

We use service providers that process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

  • IPinfo, to match an IP address to an organization and general location.
  • People Data Labs, to add company-level details for an organization's website domain. We send the domain, not your IP address or browsing history.
  • Netlify, which hosts our website and stores waitlist form submissions.
  • Slack and email providers, when a customer chooses to receive alerts there.

Visit information collected on a customer's website is made available to that customer. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Raw visit logs, including IP addresses: deleted after 90 days.
  • Company lookup results: kept so we do not repeat the same lookup, and refreshed or deleted when no longer needed.
  • Waitlist and contact emails: until you ask us to delete them or the waitlist closes.
  • Customer account and billing records: for the life of the account and as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Opting out

  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or a Do Not Track signal, the PipelinePing script does not run and nothing is recorded.
  • You can opt out in any browser on our opt-out page. This sets a cookie that stops PipelinePing on every site that uses it, in that browser.
  • You can also email hello@getpipelineping.com to opt out or to unsubscribe from our emails.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA and other US states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and get a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising and profiling. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect it.
  • Appeal our decision on your request, where your state allows.
  • Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

To make a request, email hello@getpipelineping.com. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. We may ask for information to verify your request, such as the IP address or email involved. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.

If your information was collected on one of our customers' websites, we may pass your request to that customer and help them respond.

Our customers' responsibilities

Customers who install PipelinePing must describe its use in their own privacy policy, obtain any consent their laws require, and follow anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM when contacting anyone they learn about through the service.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and limited retention to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

PipelinePing is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on this site or email customers before it takes effect.
